1. Age Requirements
Drivers must be at least 22 years old and hold a valid driving license for a minimum of one (1) year. Higher age requirements may apply to specific vehicle categories.
2. Driving License
A valid driving license issued at least one year before the rental date is required. Drivers from non-EU countries may need to present an International Driving Permit (IDP).
3. Minimum Rental Duration
The minimum rental period is 24 hours. Any delay exceeding one hour from the agreed return time may result in an additional rental day charge.
4. Fuel Policy
Vehicles are delivered with a specified fuel level and must be returned with the same fuel level. Failure to do so may result in refueling charges.
5. Traffic Fines and Violations
The renter is fully responsible for all traffic fines, parking tickets, toll charges, and any violations incurred during the rental period.
6. Insurance
All vehicles are covered by third-party liability insurance in accordance with Greek law. Additional insurance coverage options may be available upon request.
7. Security Deposit / Excess Amount
A security deposit may be required at the start of the rental. The renter remains responsible for any deductible (excess) amount stated in the rental agreement.
8. Additional Driver
Additional drivers are permitted only if registered in the rental agreement and approved by I Love Kefalonia Rent a Car.
9. Child Seats
Child seats are available upon request and subject to availability. Additional charges may apply.
10. Booster Seats
Booster seats are available upon request and subject to availability.
11. Taxes
All rental rates include VAT and applicable local taxes unless otherwise stated.
12. Mileage Restrictions
Unlimited mileage applies unless otherwise specified in the booking confirmation.
13. Delivery / Collection
Vehicle delivery and collection services are available at Kefalonia Airport, ports, hotels, and other agreed locations. Additional charges may apply depending on the location.
14. Cross-Border Rentals
Vehicles rented from I Love Kefalonia Rent a Car may not be taken outside Greece without prior written authorization.
15. Ferry Transport
Transporting the vehicle by ferry is allowed only after prior approval from I Love Kefalonia Rent a Car.
16. Road Maps
Road maps and local travel information are available upon request free of charge.
17. Payment Methods
We accept cash, major credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers where applicable.
18. Reservations / Availability
All reservations are subject to vehicle availability and are confirmed only after approval by I Love Kefalonia Rent a Car.
19. Booking Process / Deposit / Cancellation Policy
Reservations may require a deposit to secure the booking. Free cancellation is available up to 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time. For cancellations made less than 48 hours before pickup, or in case of a no-show, the deposit may be non-refundable.
20. Vehicle Condition and Damage Policy
The renter acknowledges that the vehicle is delivered in good condition and agrees to return it in the same condition. Any damage not covered by insurance may be charged to the renter.
21. Privacy Policy (GDPR Compliance)
I Love Kefalonia Rent a Car collects and processes personal data solely for reservation and rental purposes, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Personal information will not be shared with third parties except where required by law.
Final Note
I Love Kefalonia Rent a Car reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions without prior notice. By making a reservation and accepting the rental agreement, the renter agrees to all terms stated above.
